Alliance Team APN Orientation
During the first week of our Pathway to APN Success program, partners will participate in the APN Orientation session. This session is designed to introduce partners to the AWS Partner Network (APN) and the resources available to them through the portal and the program.
Partners will learn about the benefits of being an APN partner, including access to funding, technical support, and co-selling opportunities. They will also get a deeper understanding of the AWS Partner tier structure and the requirements for achieving each level.
In addition, partners will be introduced to the AWS Partner Network Portal, a centralized resource that provides access to training materials, support resources, and other useful tools for managing their AWS Practice and partnership with AWS. This session will provide partners with a clear understanding of the resources available to them through the program, and help them to get started on the right foot.
At the end of the session, partners will be ready to dive into the rest of the program with a solid understanding of the APN and the resources available to them, setting them up for success as they progress through the program.
Alliance Lead Navigate Training
During the second week of our Pathway to APN Success program, partners will participate in the Alliance Lead Navigate training session. This session is designed to provide Alliance Leads with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively manage their partnerships with AWS and drive success for their partners.
The session covers topics such as the roles and responsibilities of Alliance Leads and the Alliance Team, as well as who they will be working with at AWS and what notifications they can expect to receive. Participants will also learn how to use fundamental APN programs and resources, including APN Customer Engagements (ACE), Partner Development Manager, and the AWS Partner Scorecard.
At the end of the session, Alliance Leads will be equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively manage their partnerships with AWS and drive success for their AWS Practice. This will set the foundation for the rest of the program, enabling partners to maximize the value of their partnership with AWS and achieve their business goals.
Technical Professional Accreditation
During the third week of our Pathway to APN Success program, partners will participate in the Technical Professional Accreditation session.
The session is designed to provide AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners with fundamental, technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing, global infrastructure, services, solutions, migration and security. The course empowers learners to make informed decisions and recommendations about AWS Cloud solutions based on customer business requirements. It covers several key topics, including AWS core technologies, solution design, presenting AWS solutions to customers, planning the migration, and APN resources. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will earn an accreditation for AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical). This course is intended for technical professionals, solutions architects, and APN Partners interested in gaining technical knowledge of AWS products, use cases, and common solutions.
At the end of the session, partners will be equipped with the technical knowledge and skills they need to excel in their roles and drive revenue growth for their businesses.
Business/Sales Professional Accreditation
During the fourth week of our Pathway to APN Success program, partners will participate in the Sales Professional Accreditation session. This session is designed to provide partners with the sales knowledge and skills they need to effectively sell AWS services and solutions.
Partners will understand and communicate the value of Amazon Web Services (AWS). The course covers the basics of cloud computing, articulating the business value, handling customer objections, and co-selling with AWS. It is intended for customer-facing or sales professionals at AWS Partners who are interested in gaining a non-technical knowledge of AWS and its solutions.
The course objectives are to describe the benefits of cloud computing and AWS, articulate the business value of the cloud, respond to common customer objections, and articulate best practices to co-sell with AWS sales teams.
At the end of the session, partners will be equipped with the sales knowledge and skills they need to effectively sell AWS services and solutions, and drive revenue growth for their businesses.
Cloud Economics Accreditation
During the fifth week of our Pathway to APN Success program, partners will participate in the Cloud Economics Accreditation session. This session is designed to help partners gain the knowledge and skills needed to advise customers on how to optimize their cloud spend and maximize their return on investment (ROI) from cloud services. This accreditation is ideal for partners who work in sales or technical roles and want to develop expertise in cloud economics.
The accreditation covers topics such as:
Cloud financial management - This topic covers the principles of cloud financial management, including understanding the total cost of ownership (TCO) of cloud services, creating budgets, and tracking costs.
Cost optimization - This topic covers techniques for optimizing cloud costs, including rightsizing instances, purchasing reserved instances, and leveraging spot instances.
Cloud economics - This topic covers the economics of cloud services, including pricing models, cost drivers, and cost benefits.
Cloud billing and invoicing - This topic covers the basics of cloud billing and invoicing, including understanding billing cycles, viewing and downloading invoices, and managing payment methods.
Cloud cost reporting - This topic covers the principles of cloud cost reporting, including creating reports, setting up alerts, and using analytics to gain insights into cloud spend.
The Cloud Economics Accreditation provides partners with the knowledge and skills needed to advise customers on how to optimize their cloud spend, reduce costs, and maximize their ROI from cloud services. With this accreditation, partners will be able to deliver greater value to their customers and differentiate themselves in the market, leading to increased revenue growth and business success.
Cloud Practitioner Exam Readiness Training
During the sixth week of our Pathway to APN Success program, partners will participate in the Cloud Practitioner Exam Readiness Training session. This session is designed to prepare partners for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam, which is an entry-level certification that validates their knowledge of AWS services and solutions.
Partners will receive training on a range of topics, including AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and billing. They will also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on exercises and practice exams, enabling them to apply their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the exam content.
At the end of the session, partners will be prepared to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam with confidence, and be equipped with the knowledge they need to provide value to their customers. This will set them on the path to achieving APN Partner status and accessing additional benefits and opportunities through the APN.
Solution Architect Exam Readiness Training (Part 1)
During the seventh week of our Pathway to APN Success program, partners will participate in the Solution Architect Exam Readiness Training (Part 1) session. This session is designed to prepare partners for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam, which is a mid-level certification that validates their expertise in designing and deploying AWS solutions.
Partners will receive training on a range of topics, including AWS services and solutions, architecture patterns, security, and best practices for designing and deploying effective solutions. They will also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on exercises and practice exams, enabling them to apply their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the exam content.
At the end of the sessions, partners will have the knowledge and skills they need to complete their preparation to take the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam with confidence, and be equipped to provide value to their customers through effective solution design and deployment. This will set them on the path to achieving APN Partner status and accessing additional benefits and opportunities through the APN.
Solution Architect Exam Readiness Training (Part 2)
During the eight and final week of our APN Pathway to Success program, partners will participate in the Solution Architect Exam Readiness Training (Part 2) session. This session is designed to build on the knowledge and skills gained in Part 1, and further prepare partners for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam.
Partners will receive training on advanced AWS topics, including high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability, as well as best practices for solution design and deployment. They will also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on exercises and practice exams, enabling them to apply their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the exam content.
At the end of the sessions, partners will have the knowledge and skills they need to complete their preparation to take the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam with confidence, and be equipped to provide value to their customers through effective solution design and deployment. This will set them on the path to achieving APN Partner status and accessing additional benefits and opportunities through the APN.
