What is the Accelerated Partner Development Program?
The Accelerated Partner Development Program is an invitation-only limited-capacity program that is only available to qualified AWS Distributor nominated Partners that desire to grow and differentiate their Public Sector business.
The goal of the APD Program is to help strategic Public Sector Partners accelerate their AWS Partner Network (APN) Journey.
Navigating the AWS landscape can be overwhelming, as there are over 60 programs and competencies that offer you a variety of benefits. Our team will help you navigate ambiguity and provide you with personalised, expert guidance. This is accomplished by leading participating partners through the accelerated development framework which produces graduated “go-to-market ready” partners that are equipped to co-sell & deliver results with AWS Partner and Account teams.
How can the Accelerated Partner Development Program help my AWS Public Sector business?
On average it takes partners 18-24 months to advance through the AWS Partner Path. This process will help you reduce that time to as little as 4-6 months.
Your Partner Development Manager (PDM) will guide you through the Partner Transformation journey.
Provide you with guidance and support in navigating the Amazon Partner Network, to ensure you’re leveraging programs, resources, and tools to meet your goals.
Provide you with facilitated access and alignment with AWS Public Sector, sales, technical, business, capture/proposal teams
and Access to AWS Public Sector funding programs.
Preparation for potential go-to-market relationships with AWS, to drive new customer engagements.
Great news! There is no cost to you as a partner to join the APD Program.

Please note, there is an annual APN fee of $2,500 for partners who have reached Select Tier or above, however, partners do receive $3,500 in AWS Promotional Credits upon upgrade.

Onboarding
Partner required completion of Foundational Navigate Track, validated PS opportunity, and obtaining a minimum of two Business Professional Accreditations and two Technical Professional Accreditations

Please work with your AWS account manager (AM) or PDM who will work with you on the nomination process.
Program Review
If you are accepted, your AM or PDM will schedule a call for an in-depth review
Assessment
Contingent upon your commitment to the program, we will complete a detailed assessment to make sure that we have an accurate picture of your business, goals, and objectives.
Plan Customisation & Execution
We will work together on a customized development plan and begin implementation in as little as one to two weeks, with the goal of programmatic completion within four to six months.

What is the time commitment?
We begin the engagement with an initial 30-minute kickoff call, followed by a one-hour assessment to understand your vision and goals.
Progressing through the milestones varies per partner, but we ensure your process progression with a weekly or bi-weekly 30-minute meeting.
Most partners spend an average of 1-2 hours a week completing self-paced training or other Partner Transformation process requirements, though you are free to progress as quickly as your time and resources allow.

This milestone validates your ability to transact with public sector customers.
Go-to-Market Readiness
This milestone provides your organization with the knowledge that you need to promote your solution with AWS and aligns you with AWS sales teams for potential co-selling motions.
Cloud Enablement Engine (CEE) Framework Implementation
This milestone will provide you with a framework for your organization to implement the governance, best practices, training and architecture needed for cloud adoption.
